Full Description

{1} (This is the building referred to at cTL02019803 in other sources). Located on the perimeter at the north-west corner of the airfield. A large reinforced brick rectangular structure with entrances either end. Thick concrete roof. Attempted demolition at eastern end. Assessed as in fair condition. Two photos. There is a similar structure at TL02929756 on the eastern side of the airfield. Marked as No127 on airfield site plan IWA/793/51. Ref in Smith D. J. 1989 p.107 to this type housing 18 or 33 men. Ref also to the type in Paul F. 1996 p.63.
