Full Description

{1} Refers to the WW2 ‘Keep’ and 5 defended localities – a keep at Irthlingborough, with a DL at the bridge, DL at Finedon crossroads and village ambushes at Great Harrowden and Great Addington. 7th Battalion HQ in the town.

[2] W’boro defended place includes 1 garrison HQ, 1 Keep, 7 defended localities, 1 garrison reserve & c12 outposts. Details of locations of spigot mortars, road blocks and other defence works along with vulnerable points etc.
