Searchlight site 265B listed in the war diary of 32 AA Brigade WO166/7398

{2}Documentary reference to Searchlight battery. Appendix of War Diary details location of every S/L in their area (N of Grantham to E coast) due to a change in the system of numbering in 1942. Prefixes of old numbers make it possible to cross ref them to location statements. Collyweston old number WT.094A (ie 362 Bty, 41 S/L Regt.); new number 265B.

{2} The modern NGR is identified, converted from MGR as being TF 0196 0059. This lies c100m SW of the existing NGR for this site. In practise both these locations almost certainly relate to SMR 6791/0/1, c370m to the north, this being a pillbox which also formed part of this defended pillbox site.
