Full Description

{1} Documentary reference to searchlight battery. Appendix of War Diary details location of every S/L in their area (N of Grantham to E coast) due to a change in the system of numbering in 1942. Prefixes of old numbers make it possible to cross ref them to location statements. Newnham S/L at MGR 83/024800 had old number DX.012A; new number 308C.
