Full Description
{1} Located in village allotments off Humfrey Lane. Small rectangular brick built structure with concrete roof. In good condition now used as tool shed/store for allotments. According to Armishaw its construction closely resembles that of a surface air-raid shelter, but without the blast protected entrances, and the single brick thick walls and concrete roof are very similar. Quite why it was built with entrances in opposite faces is difficult to understand. No refs identified in local published history on the HG although Boughton falls within either B Coy (Brixworth) or D Coy (Moulton) areas of 9th Battalion.
