Full Description

{1} The field behind Pearce’s factory must have been used for training as I have found a number of empty No.69 bakelite grenades, dated 1940, scattered about. I have also been told that there were air raid shelters at the top of the field until a couple of years ago. AA also identifies Pearce’s Factory, Billing as ?HQ for 11th Battalion HG during WW2.
