Full Description
{2} Three brick kilns at Welford Wharf- circular structures 12ft high with a 7ft diameter. Used for making limes for agricultural use, supplied by boats from the grand Union Canal. The kilns date from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. Pottery and glass bottles have been found, suggesting that the kilns were used as a rubbish ground after they were closed down.
