Full Description
{1} Record Site Plan Bldg No: 53, D.W.G.No: 10276-7/40, Located to the east of the main airfield complex. The main surviving component comprises a large concrete construction in fair to bad condition.
{3} Large concrete construction removed from but presumably associated with the airfield. Rectangular in plan the structure has walls approximately 150mm wide and in embanked with earth on its north and east sides. It is divided into 4 equal sized adjoining compartments or 'tanks'. Centrally located at the north end of each 'tank' are the remains of a very much smaller rectangular concrete 'boxes' extending the full height of the structure - location for access? A concrete roadway links the structure with the Lutton to Polebrook road a short distance to the north. Function unknown - possibly site for fuel or water storage? Partially infilled with farm debris.
