{1} Garden ornament. Erected c.1930. Rectangular stone sundial topped by eagle on Tuscan column surrounded by circular stone seat with griffon arm-rests; octagonal stone plinth. Part of a formal garden layout devised by 1st Baron Hesketh and his head gardener, Swainson.
