Full Description

{1} Walls. Late C18/early C19. Forming a large rectangular enclosure. Coursed squared ironstone plinth, brick walls, English bond, divided into bays with brick buttresses. Stone coping. Gardener's bothy attached to wall on north side, probably early C19. Ironstone ashlar, slate roof, brick stack. 2 bays with sash windows in plain stone frames. Entrance at side has wood lintel and 4-panel door. Interior not inspected.

{3} "A kitchen garden was made by enclosing one and a half acres with a nine- to twelve-foot-high brick wall complete with glasshouses and a bothy for the gardener. In the greenhouses there were till recently peach and nectarine trees bearing lead labels stamped on one side '1791' and on the other '1861'. Evidently the original trees were replaced at an original date. In the
