Full Description

{1} House, now Public House. C18. Coursed limestone rubble, ironstone quoins; artificial stone slate roof (originally thatched); brick stacks on left gable and to right of centre. L-plan. 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays. Doorway in second bay from left with C19 gabled wooden hood on brackets and 4-panel door, partly glazed. All windows are 2-light wooden casements with wooden lintels. 2-storey one bay wing to right has 2-light casement windows and on left side a 2-light stone mullioned window (blocked). To left a lower gabled extension with loft. Stone plaque over doorway inscribed 'A great fire on July 13 1785'. Included for group value.
