Building record 8331/1/2 - Park View Lodge

Never listed, but identified by Clews as having potential. Former lodge to Park View House, which is now demolished

{1} Lodge. Early C19. Coursed squared limestone, hipped slate roof, central and lateral brick stacks. Cruciform plan. Single-storey, 3-window range. Ribbed plank door faces former drive to left and has chamfered stone surround (painted) with Tudor-arched head. Chamfered wood mullion and transom windows with chamfered stone surrounds (painted). Plain rendered pilaster strips to angles. Deep projecting eaves. Formerly the lodge to Park View House, a small early C19 country house, now demolished.

{3} Single storey stone entrance lodge dates from the 1830s and comprised two bedrooms and two living rooms forming the shape of a cross. It has been extended. Photograph of 2006;
