Full Description

{1} House. Mid C18. Coursed squared limestone, plain tile roof, brick end stacks. 2-unit central staircase plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Central 6-panel part-glazed door, hinged in middle in moulded wood frame, with flat-arched head and trellis porch. 12-pane sash windows to ground and first floor, those to ground floor with flat-arched heads, those to first floor with timber lintels. Plinth and stone eaves. Interior has stone flagged floors, dog-leg staircase with turned balusters to ground and first floor flights, splat balusters to attic flight. Late C18 painted wood chimneypiece with ornamental detail; open fireplace in kitchen with chamfered bressumer; spine beams, mostly boxed, in upper rooms; fitted cupboards with shaped shelves.

{3} Appears to be an early 18th century farmhouse, perhaps of 17th century origin, refronted in the early 19th century, a date at which the long rear service wing was probably added.

{4} Undated photo, also photo dated 25.11.1993;
