{1} Rebuilt front of house dating from 1595. Dressed stone with free stone dressings. 2 storeys, steeply pitched stone slate roof. 3 ogee shaped gables with finials. 5 stone mullioned casement windows. 1st floor plaque on right carries date, 3 heraldic shields, an abbreviated motto in Welsh and the initials WEP. May have belonged to John Parker, serjeant at law.

"Without God, without everything, God and enough" on the crest;left-side shield with chevron, between three roses;right-hand side shield with a chevron between three birds;house may have belonged to John Parker, sergeant-at-law;at time of the fire belonged to Mr Danver which was survive the fire;during this time premises of the Northampton Herald;

{5} One of the few houses on the Square to escape the 1675 fire. It had been savagely altered in the 18th and 19th-centuries but was rebuilt and restored to its original form based on surviving records and drawings, notably George Clarke. The house is dated 1595 and has above the bay window some Elizabethan decoration and an inscription in Welsh. A broad doorcase with fluted Doric pilasters, and a pediment. Good rebuilt post-1675 staircasewith twisted balusters inside. The bay with a late Georgian Gothick window replaces a projecting porch, whose top gable and balustrade, when it was removed, was rebuilt onto the façade. The porch was still there in 1768. The building stands at the bottom of the former street called Newland which disappeared when the Grosvenor Centre was built.
