Building record 5046/7/1 - The Old Cherry Tree, Great Houghton

16th or 17th century in date, altered in the early 19th and 20th centuries. Inscription on one of the quoins reads: THUS TYL THEN, ANNO DNI 1576, GROBYNS A R

{1} C16 or C17, altered early C19 and C20. Coursed rubble, brick courses under eaves, all whitewashed. Corrugated iron roof. 1 storey and attics, 3 triple light casement windows, early C19, to north front. Door left of centre. Extension on right has door and 2 light casements, 1 upper casement window. Large stone quoin on left has part of an inscription: THUS TYL THEN, ANNO DNI 1576, GROBYNS A R.
