Building record 3980/10/1 - No.5 Wales Street (Newham Farmhouse)

Farmhouse, now a house. Early C18 and C19. Coursed and squared ironstone with limestone dressings, rendered west gable and single ridge stacks.

{1} Farmhouse, now a house. Early C18 and C19. Coursed and squared ironstone with limestone dressings, rendered west gable and single ridge stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays L-plan. Front has central moulded wooden doorcase with hood on brackets, and late C19 5-panel door with the top panel glazed. On either side, a 3-light casement. Over the door, and to left, 2-light casements. To right, a blank window. All these windows have flat arches. Rear wing east side has to right a C20 2-light casement on each floor.

{2} House was established out of a former 18th century farmhouse. Date of change of use unknown. Farmhouse, early 18th and 19th centuries. 2 storeys, 3 bays L-plan. Now a house.
