Full Description
{1} Road Bridge. Built c1400 for Sir Thomas Latimer. Parapets renewed C20. Square ironstone with limestone dressings. East side has 2 chamfered pointed arches with 2 large cutwaters. Plain rubble parapets have rough slab copings.
{3} Begun by Sir Thomas Latimer circa 1400; completed in 1402-3; brown stone with 3 pointed chamfered arches & 2 massive cutwaters on east side; low stone parapets
{4} Stone bridge with 3 pointed arches; mentioned in will of 1402.
{5} One of the three arches is almost completely hidden; the others very plain with a small chamfer and no ribs. The two cutwaters have flat tops level with the roadway. Possibly had post and rail fencing at one time.
The present bridge begun by Sir Thomas Latimer c.1400. Mentioned in the will of Dame Anne Latimer 1402 "Also to make the brigge that my lord began xls".
