Full Description

{1} Former road bridge. Formerly dated 1641 (datestone and associated Cockayne arms removed to Beech House, q.v.). Squared coursed ironstone. 2 round-headed arches, string course and remains of parapet and shaped coping. Much-decayed cutwaters. Road moved to east in 1829.

{5}C17th stone bridge with datestone of 1641; in poor state of repair;,{6}Stone bridge of 2 arches;,{9}STANDING STRUCTURE; BRIDGE; BUILT 1640 WHEN ROAD MOVED TO CREATE PARK; ROAD MOVED AGAIN 1829 & BRIDGE LEFT WITHIN EXTENDED PARK; HAS COKAYNE FAMILY ARMS & 1641 DATE;,{8}Former road bridge; formerly dated 1641 but datestone & associated Cockayne arms removed to Beech House; squared coursed ironstone; 2 round-headed arches; string course & remains of parapet & shaped coping; much-decayed cutwaters; road moved to east in 1829;,{7}Deviation of road from Rothwell to Pipewell made in 1640; took northerly course east of Rushton grounds & crossed Ise few yards below weir & junction of tributary stream from upper lakes; Lord Cullen erected picturesque 2-span stone bridge to carry road across stream; still stands with 1641 datestone; further diversion made when it was considered that road ran too close to hall & second bridge built in 1829 leaving old bridge within parkland; this diversion also placed former roadside inn within parkland;
