Summary

One building, formerly an inn, now two separate dwellings. L-shaped plan. Two storeys and attics in stone. Stone slate roofs. Two canted bays of two storeys with three lights with late sashes with glazing bars. Two gabled dormers. Entrance off-centre to the right. Plain doorway, flat arch with keystone. Return face gable end has one three-light mullioned window to each floor. Upper House (the rear wing) has late sash windows to both floors, semi-circular headed doorway, glazed door.

Full Description

One building, formerly an inn, now 2 separate dwellings. L-shaped plan. 2 storeys and attics in stone. Stone slate roofs. 2 canted bays of 2 storeys with 3 lights with late sashes with glazing bars. 2 gabled dormers. Entrance off-centre to the right. Plain doorway, flat arch with keystone. Return face gable end has one 3-light mullioned window to each floor. Upper House (the rear wing) has late sash windows to both floors, semi-circular headed doorway, glazed door. All the listed buildings on the east side of North Street form a group.{3}Kings Head, Duck Lane/North Street
Mentioned by John Clifton. Was located next to Berrystead on the corner between Duck Lane and North Street. Changed its name to the Angel in 18th century. (1)

No. 14 North Street is located on the corner of Duck Lane close to Berrystead and is, according to the listings, a fomer inn. (1)
