Summary

A late 17th/early 18th century house, now subdivided. This portion, Branston House - west wing, continues the roof line of Nos 22 and 24 but with verges above the gables. Early 18th century. Four windows to 1st floor and two gabled dormers in stone slate roof. Painted moulded stucco eaves cornice. Painted on stone. Windows are hung sashes in nearly flush wooden cases, stone lintels with reeded keystones. 1st floor windows have moulded cills and aprons joining the platband. Ground floor:- plinth with moulded coping. Glazing bars to 1st floor windows only.

Full Description

No 26 continues the roof line of Nos 22 and 24 but with verges above the gables. Early C18. 4 windows to 1st floor and 2 gabled dormers in stone slate roof. Painted moulded stucco eaves cornice. Ground floor:- plinth with moulded coping. Glazing bars to 1st floor windows only. All the listed buildings in Market Place form a group.
