Summary

A late 17th century house of two storeys with a steep stone slate roof. Recessed ground floor with colonnade of five bays, two end piers square with half column and four columns supporting a massive wooden lintel. Six closely spaced windows to 1st floor, hung sashes in reveals with plain wide architraves; chamfered quoins and heavy dentilled eaves cornice. Six large hipped dormers. Chimney stacks on gables, paired flues linked by entablature topping. Ground floor west end has two projecting windows, many paned with curved ends, and a doorway between. East end has early semi-circular headed doorway and contemporary panelled doors fitting to the head, towards the centre a large triple window (three normal double hung sashes).

Late C17. House of 2 storeys with steep stone slate roof. Recessed ground floor with colonnade of 5 bays, 2 end piers square with half column and 4 columns supporting a massive wooden lintel. 6 closely spaced windows to 1st floor, hung sashes in reveals with plain wide architraves; chamfered quoins and heavy dentilled eaves cornice. 6 large hipped dormers. Chimney stacks on gables, paired flues linked by entablature topping. Ground floor west end has 2 projecting windows, many paned with curved nds, and a doorway between. East end has early semi-circular headed doorway and contemporary panelled doors fitting to the head, and towards the centre a large triple window ( 3 normal double hung sashes). All the listed buildings in Market Place form a group.
