Summary

A house with 17th century origins located on the northern side of West Street. The building is constructed of coursed squared limestone with a double pitch Collyweston slate roof and brick end and ridge chimney stacks. The street front has a three window range of sliding sash windows beneath the eaves with casement windows to the ground floor left. Two entrance doors are situated to the centre and right with a three light stone mullioned window to the far right. A lean-to extension has been built on the right and the house has been altered during the 18th and 20th centuries. The building is now a house with an attached bakery.

Full Description

House, now house and bakery. C17 origins and C18 altered C20. Squared coursed limestone with Collyweston slate roof. L-shape plan. 2 storeys. 3-window range of horizontal sliding sash windows at first floor, set under eaves. 3-light ovolo-moulded stone mullion window, to ground floor right, and 2 C20 casement windows, under wood lintels, to centre and left. C20 door, under wood lintel, to right of centre and plank door adjacent, also under wood lintel, gives access to bakery. Brick stacks at ridge and end. Lean-to extension to right.
