Full Description

{1} House. Early C17 and C19. Regular coursed limestone with thatch and corrugated asbestos roofs. Originally 3-unit plan. Single storey with attic. 3-window range. C19 casement windows, under wood lintels, to left and right and 8-paned unhorned sash window, under wood lintel, to far left. 2 casement windows, under eyebrow dormers, to left. 4-panelled, part-glazed, door to centre. Stone stacks at ridge and end. C19 single-storey one-window range, attached to left, has large C19 window under shallow tone arch and C20 door under similar head. Corrugated asbestos roof. Probably used as a shop. Interior has open fireplace with bressumer and is noted as having a cruck truss.

{3} Spinney Farm Cottage, one storey and attics, thatched roof, class 2, early 17th century, later extended to the west and the original gable wall removed. Above a former partition between the centre and east rooms is a cruck truss, the blades of which emerge from the wall at a steep angle; the upper part is concealed.
