Summary
Stocks and whipping post probably dating from the 17th century. Made of oak with iron fittings. Now moved and placed in an early 20th century shelter built of limestone with a Collyweston stale roof.

Full Description
{1} Stocks, whipping post and attached shelter. Stocks and whipping post probably C17th with early C20th shelter. Stocks and whipping post probably oak with iron bands and 6 leg holes. Squared coursed limestone shelter with Collyweston slate roof. Open fronted shelter with attached railings has stocks and whipping past mounted inside. Hipped roof.
{4} Post medieval stocks and whipping post. Timber with iron fittings. Stocks 1.7m long x 0.7m high. Whipping post 1.5m high. Not in situ and currently preserved under C20th shelter built for them.
{8} Four undated photos.
{9} The Stocks and Whipping Post have been moved from their original position and are at present preserved at TL 0246 9572 under cover of a shelter raised for the purpose. See Photo.
{10} Stocks 1.7m long by 0.7m high overall. Whipping Post 1.5m high. Both are of timber with iron fittings. Surveyed on AM (1:2500). Not surveyed on MSD.
