Summary

A 17th century house located on the southern side of Park Street. The house is constructed of squared coursed limestone with ashlar dressings and parapets, and a double pitch Collyweston slate roof with a large central ridge chimney stack and a chimney stack on the western gable. The street front has a two bay range of two-story canted bay windows each with five lights and ovolo moulded mullions. The entrance is at the rear of the building.

Full Description

House. Mid C17. Squared coursed limestone with ashlar dressings and Collyweston slate roof. Originally probably 2-unit lobby-entry plan. 2 storeys. 2-window range of 2-storey, 5-light canted bay windows, with ovolo-moulded stone mullions. Ashlar gable parapets and remains of ashlar stacks at ridge and end. C20 extension with porch, to rear. Entrance was probably originally at rear. Interior not inspected but noted as having hollow moulded and chamfered beams and remains of open fireplaces. C18 stair with turned balusters. {3} A shallow recess in the rear wall indicates a former vice where there is now a stair and closed string of the early 18th century.
