Summary

An 18th century outbuilding probably used as a kitchen or brew house located ten metres north east of the house known as Market Cross on the northern side of Bridge Street. The building is constructed of squared and coursed limestone with a Collyweston slate roof. The building is single story with a brick chimney stack at the end. The gable facade has a blocked window above a door and a three light window, all under timber lintels.

Full Description

Outbuilding, probably a kitchen or brewhouse. C18. Squared coursed limestone with slate roof. One-unit plan. Single storey, originally with loft. Gable end is a one-window range with casement under wood lintel at ground floor and blocked opening to left, also with wood lintel. 6-panel door, with glazed toplights, under wood lintel, to right. Brick stack at end. Interior: open fireplace with bressumer and some C18 roof structure. Included for group value (RCHM: An Inventory of Architectural Monuments in North Northamptonshire: p96)
