Summary

An early 18th century barn located ten metres east of the farmhouse at number 29 High Street. The barn was constructed of coursed limestone rubble with bands of Northamptonshire Ironstone and a double pitch Collyweston slate roof. On the northern and southern sides are large central cart entrances with flanking hayloft openings and triangular ventilation holes. The barn has had 19th century modifications.

Full Description

{1} Barn. Early C18. Squared coursed and banded limestone and ironstone with Collyweston slate roof. 5-bay barn. Central cart-entrance under wood lintel. Flanking pitch holes, with plank doors, and 3 triangular vents to either side of doors. Central door to rear elevation modified C19. C20 doors in right gable end. Interior retains mainly original structure with staggered purlins.
