Summary

A late 18th century house that is located on the western side of Church Street. The building is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a Mansard roof covered by Collyweston slate with a stone chimney stack at the right gable. The building is single story with an attic floor lit by a Lincolnshire eaves dormer with a three light casement window. Beneath the dormer is a large casement window that is sited within a larger blocked opening. The right gable has casement windows under wooden lintels to the right. The house was altered during the 19th century.

Full Description

{1} House. Probably late C18 and C19. Squared coursed limestone with Collyweston slate roof. Originally probably one unit plan. Single storey with attic. One-window range with combined C20 casement and part-glazed door, under wood lintel. Lincolnshire eaves dormer to attic, has C19 casement window. Mansard roof with stone stack at end. Right gable has 3 C19 and C20 casements. Rear wing now colourwashed, is probably C19 and has a 2-window range of C19 casements under a shallow brick arch and a wood l ntel. Central part-glazed door is also under wood lintel. Eaves dormer with C20 casement to left. Interior: room at front has large open fireplace with narrow bressumer, probably reset.
