Summary

A late 17th century house with an attached outbuilding that has now been converted to a studio located on the eastern side of Church Street, opposite The Lane. The building is constructed of squared coursed limestone and ironstone with double pitch Collyweston slate roofs. The building is L shaped in plan with a small range facing Church Street with the gable of the long range to the right. The long range extends away from the road and has a central cart entrance and hipped dormer window. The building has had some 18th and 19th century alterations. During the 20th century the outbuildings were converted into a studio.

Full Description

{1} House and outbuildings, now house and studio. Late C17 and C18/C19. Squared coursed limestone and ironstone with Collyweston slate roof. 2-unit plan, now L-shape. Single storey with attic. Elevation to Church Street has gable end to right with an irregular 2-window range of C20 casements under wood lintels. Bay to right is probably C19. Central brick stack. Rear elevation has a 2-window range of C19 and C20 casements under wood lintels. C20 glazed porch at intersection of ranges. Cart entrance t centre of rear range. C20 dormer window to studio to far left. Interior not inspected. Included for group value.

The rear range is now a studio, it is not known what type of studio it has become.The house and outbuilding are Grade II listed
