Full Description

{1} 5 human skulls were found close together in ironstone workings to the north-west of Hunsbury Hillfort; the remainder of the skeletons were not found.

{2} O.S. Suggest ngr of SP736586 but give no reason for this.

{4} Trephined skulls; photos.

{6} Several unattached skulls were also found, one of which has three holes arranged so as to form a triangle. These were posthumously bored with a metal instrument.

{7} No further information.
