Summary

Gates and attached gatepiers approx. 10m E of Duddington Manor. The gates and attached gatepiers were probably built in the 18th century and restored in the 19th century. The gates are of wrought iron and the piers are of limestone ashlar. The gatepiers are plain with moulded cornices, the ball finials were probably added in the 19th century. The overthrow incorporates the Goddard-Jackson crest.

Full Description

{1} Gates and attached gatepiers. Probably C18, restored C19. Limestone ashlar gatepiers with wrought-iron gates. Pair of plain gatepiers, with moulded cornices, are probably C18, with C19 ball finials. Wrought-iron gates, linking piers, have side panels and overthrow incorporating the Goddard-Jackson crest. The gates and attached gatepiers form part of the garden layout with Duddington Manor and attached wall and pier (q.v.) and office, outbuildings and attached wall and pier approximately 10 metre north of Duddington Manor (q.v.). Included for group value.
