{1} Barn and attached farmbuildings. Probably about 1830 for Evans family of Laxton Hall. Squared coursed limestone with Collyweston and concrete tile roofs. L-shape plan. Barn in north range has central, gabled, porches with arch-head cart entrances and plank doors. Range attached to west of barn has first floor, probably a hayloft. Plank door at ground floor with similar first floor door to right, various casement openings under wood lintels. Elevation to farmyard has later lean-to extensions. West range attached at right angles has central arch-head doorway with flanking lunettes. The 2 ranges are linked by square corner block with pyramid type roof. Interiors not inspected but noted as having some original roof structures. Loose boxes, a cow house, fasting pen and slaughter-house were amongst the original uses of the ranges of the model farm which this range forms part of, together with Home Farmhouse (q.v.), farm buildings and attached dovecote approximately 30 metres south-west o Home Farmhouse (q.v.) and Dutch barn and attached cartsheds approximately 75 metres west of Home Farmhouse (q.v.).
