Summary

An early 18th century millhouse with possible earlier origins and later additions is located on the south western side of Main Street, on the eastern bank of Willow Brook. The house is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a double pitch tile roof with ashlar parapets and gable end chimney stacks. It is three stories high with the third story raised in ashlar and lit by three eaves dormer windows. The main facade has three light casement windows to the right and left of the first and second floors with a central door and a central small casement window.

Full Description

{1} Mill house now house. Early C18. probably with earlier origins, raised C19. Squared coursed limestone and limestone ashlar, with C20 plain tile roof. Originally 2-unit plan. 2 storeys with attic. 3-window range of C19 casements under wood lintels. Central C20 door is also under wood lintel. 3 C20 eaves dormers. Chamfered plinth and raised band above first floor windows. Ashlar attic storey, ashlar gable parapets and brick stacks at ends. Interior not inspected but entrance hall noted as having late C18 panelling, probably reset.
