Summary

Two late 18th to early 19th century houses and an attached outbuilding are situated on the eastern side of the High Street. The buildings are constructed of squared coursed limestone with double pitch Collyweston slate roofs. The houses have lateral and gable end chimney stacks and the outbuilding has a stone chimney at each gable. The houses have a first floor range of four casement windows under wooden lintels and each house has a similar window and a door to the ground floor. The outbuilding has a central loft door that is flanked by two casement windows to the first floor and a door and three light casement window to the far left of the ground floor.

Full Description

{1} Two houses and an attached outbuilding. Late C18/early C19. Squared coursed limestone with concrete tile roofs. Houses originally one- and 2-unit plans. 2 storeys. Together comprising a 4-window range of C20 casements, in original openings, under wood lintels, with ashlar dressings at first floor. Similar windows under stone lintels with keyblocks, at ground floor. 6-panel door to left and C20 door to right both under stone lintels with keyblocks. Brick stacks at ridge and end. Outbuilding attached to left has rectangular plan. 2 casement opening at first floor and central hay loft door. Casement opening and plank door to ground floor left, both under wood lintels. Stone stack at end. Interiors not inspected. Included for group value.
