Summary
A building known as Dial House built circa 1726 for George Wade with late 18th and 19th century additions is situated on the western side of the High Street. The house is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a double pitch Collyweston slate roof with ashlar parapets and chimneys at the gable ends. It is two stories high with an attic range lit by two hipped dormer windows with leaded casements. The entrance front has a symmetrical two window front of three light leaded casements under timber lintels with a central door. A window under a concrete lintel has been inserted above the doorway to the left. A single storey outbuilding attached to the left is now a part of the main house and the building was also known as The Sundial House.

Full Description
{1} Shown as The Sundial House on Ordnance Survey map. House. c.1726 for George Wade and later C18 and C19. Squared coursed limestone with Collyweston slate roof. Originally 2-unit plan. 2 storeys with attic. 2-window range, now 3 windows. Leaded casements under wood lintels; first floor centre window is C20 with concrete lintel. 6-panel door to centre is also under wood lintel. Ashlar end stack, with moulded cornice, to left and stone stack to right. Single storey outbuilding, attached to left, ha one leaded casement, and now forms part of main house. Rear elevation has later C18 stair turret. Interior not inspected but noted as having remains of open fireplace.
