Summary
A house with 17th century origins that was altered during the 18th and 19th centuries is located on the eastern corner of Main Street and Church Lane. The house is L shaped in plan with a three bay range to Church Lane and a two bay range to Main Street. The house is constructed of squared coursed limestone and ashlar with a double pitch thatch roof with brick end and ridge chimney stacks. The Church Lane facade has three, three light casements to the first floor with similar windows below. The entrance door is half glazed and is located to the left of centre under a timber lintel. The smaller range fronting on to Main Road has a two window range of tiff casement windows under wooden lintels with a three light stone mullion window to the right.

{1} Includes No.18, Main Street. Shown as Nos.17 and 18 on Ordnance Survey map. House. C17 origins, altered C18 and C19. Squared coursed limestone with thatch roof. L-shape plan. 2 storeys. Entrance front is a three-window range of C19 casements under wood lintels. C20 door, to left of centre, is also under wood lintel. Brick stacks at ridge and end. Elevation to right of entrance front is a 2-window range of C19 casement windows, under wood lintels, with one 3-light stone mullion window to ground loor right. Central ashlar stack with moulded cornice. Interior not inspected but noted as having fireplace with moulded stone surround.
