Full Description

{1} Milestone. Probably early C19. Limestone ashlar. Square post with inscriptions on 2 faces: "To Peterborough 12 miles", and "To Oundle 1 mile". Reset during road widening C20.

{2} Limestone ashlar milestone; probably early C19th; limestone ashlar; square post with inscriptions on 2 faces "To Peterborough 12 miles" & "To Oundle 1 mile"; stone was reset during road widening in C20th.

{3} Stone milepost, c.25cm square and 50cm high. On the face towards the road, near ground level is the inscription '12 miles to Peterborough'. There are very worn inscriptions on the adjacent sides.
