Building record 1934/0/9 - No.6 Main Street & 3 Attached Houses

Four houses. Early C18 and C19. Regular coursed limestone with corrugated asbestos roofs. Together comprising an L-shape plan.

{1} (Main Street is shown on Ordnance Survey map as High Street.) 4 houses. Early C18 and C19. Regular coursed limestone with corrugated asbestos roofs. Together comprising an L-shape plan. Single storey with attic. 2-window range of casements with glazing bars under wood and concrete lintels. Plank doors to centre and left under similar lintels. 2 flat-topped eaves dormers with casement windows. Brick stacks at ends. Elevation of rear wing, to right, has 2 plank doors under wood lintels and 2 C20 case ent windows. 2 flat-topped eaves dormers to rear of this wing, one has leaded casement. C19 two-storey extension, without roof, is attached to rear of main range. Interior not inspected but No.6 noted as having spine beams and open fireplace with bressumer.
