Full Description
{1} Plans of existing floor layout of Oakleigh House, Thrapston.
{2} Oakleigh House is believed to date from the mod 18th century and many original external features remain. The structure is listed Grade II and further details can be found on the list description. The owner of the building is Henry Bletsoe and Son.

{4} Town house, now house and offices. Mid C18 and mid C19. Squared coursed limestone with C18 brick façade and C19 brick rear range. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys with attic. Main front of 5-window range. Central 6-panel door with moulded wood doorcase having reeded pilasters, frieze with triglyphs and metopes, and dentilled cornice over. Rectangular fanlight with glazing bars forming diamonds and roundels. Unhorned sash windows, with glazing bars, under gauged brick heads with keyblocks. Shallow br ck pilasters to far left and right. Rendered plinth and flight of moulded steps to door. Moulded cornice and 3 flat-topped roof dormers with sash windows. Ashlar gable parapets and truncated brick stack at end. One-unit single-storey brick building attached to left of main front has C20 canted shop window and C18 timber-framed side wall. Rear elevation is a mid C19, brick, 3-window range with unhorned sash windows at first floor and C20 openings to ground floor. Mid C18 central staircase proj ction is visible above mid C19 extensions. Interior: entrance hall has wide staircase with half-landing and stick balustrade. Panelling in hall may be C18. Fielded panelled window reveals.
{5} Town house, mid 18th and mid 19th century. 18th century facade and 19th century brick range. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys with attic. Main front of 5-window range. One unit single storey brick building attached to main front.In recent times there has been a conversion is now house and offices.
