Summary

Dovecote approximately 15 metres west of Dovecote House. Stone circular dovcote with two windows and lath and plaster nesting boxes, it has a Collyweston slated roof. The stone used for construction is hammer dressed oolitic limestone blocks laid to courses. There are also incorporated several pieces of ironstone plus a partial band of squared or sawn oolitic limestone blocks. Dressed limestone is used for the jambs of the windows and doors. The dovecote retains the original potence, it appears to be of a single period, circa 1800, though the roof and glover may have been replaced in 1952.
