Full Description

{1} Churchyard cross base. C15. Limestone ashlar. Square chamfered socket with square hole for shaft. Included for group value. (J. Markham, Stone Crosses of Northamptonshire).

{3} Stone socket of churchyard cross, 2ft X 2ft2in X 6in high. Mortice hole in centre 9in square.

{4} (SP 99836584) Socket of churchyard cross situated a little SE of the south porch. It measures 2ft by 2ft 2 ins, and is 6 ins high, having in the centre a mortice hole 9 ins square.

{5} Undated photo.

{6} The socket stone is situated at SP 9982 6582. See photograph.

{7} The stone is in a very obscure position and has been sunk into the ground. A degree of clearance to the south of the porch gives the impression that the stone has been moved from this area. So little of the cross has survived, and is unlikey to be in it's original location, therefore it does not fulfil the criteria for scheduling.
