Full Description

{1} Shown as Irthlingborough Lodge on Ordnance Survey map. Farmhouse, now house. Early C19. Squared coursed limestone with slate roof. Double-depth plan. Part 3 storeys. Main front of 3-window range of C19 casements under gauged stone heads with keyblocks. Central 4-panel door has similar head. Raised string courses between floors. Renewed brick stacks at ends. Rear has catslide roof at change from 2- to 3-storey front range. Interior not inspected. Shown in drawing by George Clarke of about 1840 as 'Mr. Welford's residence'.
