Full Description
Manor House. Mid C17, remodelled early and mid C19. Squared coursed limestone with Colleyweston slate roof. 3-unit plan with cross wing. 2 storeys with attic. Main front of 4-window range with gabled cross wing breaking forward to left. C19 two-light stone mullion windows at first floor, those to left have gablets over. Similar 3-light windows to ground floor right. Square bay window with adjacent porch to left has C19 four-light stone mullion window with arch-head lights and transom. C19 glazed door has 4-centred head and moulded stone surround. Plain ashlar parapet to porch and bay window. C17 two-light stone mullion attic window to gable of cross wing. Moulded stone cornice and ashlar gable parapets. Ashlar stacks with moulded cornices, those at ends have been rendered. Garden front, to left of main front, remodelled early C19. 3-window range. Central bay breaks forward with gable and has tall staircase sash window with glazing bars under gauged stone head with drip mould. Other w ndows are tripartite sashes with glazing bars, those at ground floor are under gauged stone heads and those at first floor are under wood lintels. Interior not inspected but noted as having some panelled window reveals and stick balustrade to staircase. C17 wing attached to rear of main front.
