Flanking windows are 5-light canted bays with stone mullion windows to ground and first floor with leaded lights. Ribbed door to left of centre has moulded stone surround with 4-centred head. 3-light stone mullion to right and two 2-light stone mullion windows above with datestone and armorial tablet between. The centre portion of the façade is brick indicating remodelling. Gabled roof has two octagonal brick chimneys at ridge. C19 and C20 extensions to rear. Fire insurance plate to left bay.

{3} Undated photo.

{4} SP 7169 8518 - A small, 17th c. house, known as THE MANOR (a), East Farndon. The original building consisted of a simple two-storied rectangular block built of irregularly-coursed ironstone. The central portion has been rebuilt in brick, probably of 18/19th c. date. Most of the original two or three-light stone-mullioned windows survive with straight moulded drip-courses. Some are modern following the original and so,
presumably, does the central doorway, a modern four-centred arch.
Two bay windows, with plinth, extend the full height of the north, entrance front. The rear of the house has been altered and there is a comparatively modern south-east wing. Rebuilt into the north front brickwork is a stone, with a coat-of-arms and monogram dated 1664. The owner stated that the monogram stood for Thomas Leigh, a lieutenant of CROMWELL at Naseby who received the manor of East Farndon for his services
at that battle. The house has always been accepted as the manor-house (a ).
G.P. AO/60/17/6 Aspect from west.

{5} No change.

{7} Armorial tablet dated 1664 with initials TL for Thomas Lee (died 1693).
