Full Description

{1} Farmhouse. Mid C18 with C19 alterations. Squared coursed lias with slate roof. Originally 2-unit plan. 2 storeys with attic. 3-window range. First floor flanking windows one 2-light stone mullions, others are C19 casements. Central C19 four-panelled door and hood. Large brick stacks at ridge. Left gable has C19 French door with large diamond panes and sash above with glazing bars. Right gable has 2-light stone mullion, blocked. Evidence of roof heightening in C19. Wing to rear has 3-light stone mullions of C18 with C19 alterations. Squared coursed lias with slate roof. Originally 2-unit plan. 2 storeys with attic. 3-window range. First floor flanking windows one 2-light stone mullions, others are C19 casements. Central C19 four-panelled door and hood. Large brick stacks at ridge. Left gable has C19 French door with large diamond panes and sash above with glazing bars. Right gable has 2-light stone mullion, blocked. Evidence of roof heightening in C19. Wing to rear has 3-light ston untry House. Late C18. Rendered brick with slate roof. Shallow U-shaped plan. 3 storeys. Main front: 7-window range, with end bays breaking forward. Sash windows with glazing bars, reducing at second floor level. Half glazed door to left of centre has C20 moulded wood doorcase. Hipped roof with brick stacks at ridge. Garden front on one-window range with C19 canted bay at ground level. C19 extensions to rear. Interior: not inspected but ground floor reception noted as having late C18 and earlier fireplaces.
