Various structural details of the barn were considered to be of late 13th/early 14th century date. Frontispiece of the book includes an illustration of the farm.
{4} Photographs of barn and letter asking that it be considered for inclusion in Pevsner's guide since significant architectural details 'might suggest a date not later than the early 14th century'.
