Full Description

{1} Former vicarage, now house. Mid C18 with late C18 addition. Ironstone ashlar, slate mansard roof, brick end stacks. Central staircase plan. 2 storeys and attic; 5-window range. Pedimented centre bay breaks forward and has 6-panel central door with overlight, flanked by small 8-pane sash windows, a Venetian window above with sash frames, that to central window with intersecting glazing bars to head, a blind lunette to pediment with stone Greek cross. Either side are pairs of 12-pane sash window :> first floors, those to ground floor with segmental relieving arches with limestone keyblocks. Plinth, storey band, moulded stone cornice, high plain stone-coped parapet, partially concealing 3 hipped dormers, and stone-coped gables. Later C18 2-bay wing to left with similar sashes, storey band and cornice, but lower parapet and hipped roof. Interior noted as having stone flagged floor to staircase hall, and open well staircase with slender turned balusters with ramped and wre d handrail.
