Summary

Built in 1842 of red brick, this three storey tower mill with four common cloth sails and a fantail worked four pairs of stones to mill corn. The mill ceased work about 1905 but still contained much of its wooden machinery until 1975 when it was converted to a residence and the aluminium dome was fitted at that time.

Full Description

{1} Tower mill, converted into dwelling. Late C18 or early C19. Rendered brick, aluminium cap. 3 storeys. C20 part-glazed door, C20 windows with stone sills and segmental heads. No machinery preserved inside.
