Cottage. Datestone 1823 with relief of the Henley coat of arms above doorway. Coursed ironstone and limestone rubble, hipped slate roof, with overhanging eaves, brick stacks.

Full Description

{1} Cottage. Datestone 1823 with relief of the Henley coat of arms above doorway. Coursed ironstone and limestone rubble, hipped slate roof, with overhanging eaves, brick stacks. 2 storeys; 3 bays. Doorways and windows have painted stone surrounds. Central doorway with plank door. Windows with wooden Y-tracery, some broken at time of survey. Interior: fittings in Gothick style. Painted 4-panel doors with Y-tracery in the head. Similar doors to cupboards. Original fireplaces with reeded wood surrounds with corner roundels.

{3} Lodge is dilapidated and partly ruinous.

{4} Please Note: between 1880 map and present day, Brockhill Lodge becomes the name for Watford Lodge (1880's). The Watford Lodge name has been given to a group of buildings at SP6102 6837.
