Summary

According to the Kettering Leader, 24 March 1928, a single crouched inhumation was discovered, but local information states that there were five or six skeletons as well as pottery and bone needles

Full Description

{2} In 1928 a series? Of Bronze Age burials were found in a sand pit; however the records are inconsistent (1); Single crouched inhumation (2); 5 or 6 skeletons as well as pottery and bone needles (local info);

{4} Local info: several skeletons were found buried in a circle, with all heads facing east. Finds included a bone comb, a bone needle, rings used for fishing, a pot and a toggle.

[5} The finds are still retained by the farmer. The urn is definitely Bronze Age, but the other finds appear to be Saxon in date.
